About Us White Background

My love of illustration, particularly fashion drawing, happened a long time ago when I discovered the work of Kenneth Paul Block, whose iconic illustrations frequented the pages of Women’s Wear Daily. I didn’t know it at the time, but this inspiration would become a driving force in my life. However, it wouldn’t become part of my life until my early 30’s when I jumped the corporate ship and headed off to New York City to chase my dreams.

After getting a master’s degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology, my first incarnation was a fashion designer — and for the next several years I worked for different design studios, including Armani, Anne Klein and Joseph Abboud. But as it turned out, designing fashion was just a stepping-stone to my real passion of drawing fashion. It was while I was teaching fashion illustration at Parsons School of Design that I found my meant to be.

In 2009, I launched my own stationery line and called it Ann Scott — where fashion + paper = write in style. This led to several licensing partnerships and opportunities in and outside the paper industry. So, I decided to expand my portfolio and showcase the diversity of my hand-illustrated artwork and surface pattern design — and with that, Ann Scott Studio was born.

Take a look, and I hope your like her style. Artwork and patterns are available for purchase or license — and if you prefer, you can commission an original.
